EyeJets was co-founded in 2017 by Edu Strul, former head of the Israeli Air Force engineering & aircraft programs department, and Dr. Joshua Gur, applied physics and electro-optics expert.
The two had met years prior while working together at IAI, Israeli Aircraft Industries. Edu was now looking to start his own company, and Joshua had a bunch of optical ideas he wanted to further develop. The two applied for a grant from the Israeli Authority of Innovation, and EyeJets was born.
The company initially focused on VRD technology for military applications. EyeJets’ greater potential soon became clear however. The AR VR market was booming. Edu and Joshua understood if they could successfully combine their VRD developments together with eye-tracking, they stood to disrupt VR market as we know it.
EyeJets’ offering shifted, and the third partner, Dr. Isaac Lipschitz, joined the company.
Isaac is a successful ophthalmologist and pioneer in refractive surgery as well as headed a medical device start-up. EyeJets initially approached him on a consulting basis. His world-renowned intraocular device expertise and deep ophthalmic knowledge helped shape EyeJets’ development and product offering. It was time for him to come on board full-time.
Today, EyeJets is reinventing the XR experience through our groundbreaking VRD & eye-tracking technology. The company is in the development phase, and is set to feature their first working prototype, the EyeVis 1, at AWE Vienna.
EyeJets is on a mission to transform the AR/VR experience and help companies take smartglasses mainstream. In an industry challenged by heavy, bulky VR eyewear, EyeJets understands the need for compact and comfortable all-day eyewear.
We enable developers to craft transformative XR experiences with our patented VRD and eye-tracking technology. Build and shape the world of tomorrow, creating a true mixed reality experience. Together, we’ll craft the products of the future.
