FAQ

  • What is the advantage of of EyeJets (EJ) technology compared to other smart glasses?
EyeJets technology projects digital data directly into the eye without creating any image on any screen before it enters the eye. The retina is the screen where the image is first produced and not only that the image is seen in the center of vision it also moves with the eye movements. So we not only produce a screen-less computer image that is directly being shown in the eye, it also follows the eye movements. Another ground breaking feature of EJ's device is that it does not interfere with the peripheral vision those allowing some visual functions of the person while the image is formed into the eye.
  • What about safety of the device?
The device is very safe and follows all the American and EU standards. Comparable devices were granted permission for use by the US army continuously for 8 hours. The amount of laser energy that is projected into the eye is only a fraction of what is being projected by the IPhone or the VR and AR devices.
  • When can we expect to see the first product ready for marketing?
A technical demonstration unit that will feature all the capabilities of the technology is expected to be finished by the end of the first quarter of 2022 and a first prototype that can be used will be available one year later (mid 2023).
  • What are the various disciplines where the Eyewize platform technology can will be used?
Our platform technology is adapted to be used in many Disciplines: Daily life activities such as smart phone application, YouTube, mail AR etc, and also many medical applications, military applications (already being developed), gamming, navigation, and many more.
  • What is the first application of the Eyewize that will be manufactured?
Because of the many applications of the platform technology and because of financial reasons the company decided to start first by introducing the daily life application (smart phone, movies, YouTube etc.) and later concentrate on the many other uses of the technology.
  • When can we expect to see the medical applications of this technology being used regularly?
The medical applications are inherent in the basic device and need only minor modifications to be used, but certification of medical devices my take some time before it can be released for use to the public.
  • How much will it cost to the final consumer?
The current projected cost to the final customer will be around 600 $ per unit.
  • Is the technology protected by a patent?
The company feels very well position with respect to protecting our intellectual property. We filed for a patent more than 2 years ago (in Israel and an international PCT) and got a reply from the US examiner (2 month ago) as well as the Israeli examiner that they did not find any previous patents that will object our patent and mentioned that all 39 claims of our patent are "allowable", so we expect to get the final certification of our patent in the near future.
  • What about military use of the EyeJets technology?
Military use of our technology was developed (with the financial support of MAFAT (Israeli military r&d agency) and a second project for the Israeli defiance force is currently being evaluated.
  • What is the current financial status of the company?
The company has successfully completed a round of financing that will secure its financial need for the first 1.5-2.0 years thus enabling to complete our plan of manufacturing the prototype that was mentioned earlier.
